|
Aktiebolaget Svensk Exportkredit (publ) (Swedish Export Credit Corporation) is a
"public limited liability company" under the Swedish Companies Act (2005:551).
It is wholly owned by the Swedish State through the Ministry of Enterprise and
Innovation ("Sweden", the "Swedish State" or the "State").
The Parent Company was founded in 1962 in order to strengthen the
competitiveness of the Swedish export industry by meeting a need for long-term
financing for both exporters and their foreign customers. SEK's objective is to
engage in financing activities in accordance with the Swedish Banking and
Financing Business Act (2004:297) and, in connection therewith, to promote the
development of Swedish commerce and industry as well as otherwise engaging in
Swedish and international financing activities on commercial terms. The duration
of the Parent Company is indefinite.
SEK's mission has evolved since it began its operations in 1962.
